Στον ήλιο δίνομαι άνιφτη
λικνίζω στ' ασημόχρυσο φύλλο που γλιστρά
μα σα σταθώ,
 η ματιά του πυρακτωμένη αστραπή 
Φώς, σουβλερό σα ψέμα.

Μου τσαλακώνει το λαρύγγι,
μαλακώνω να λιποθυμήσω, 
μπας κι απο οίκτο με ξαπολήσει. 
Μα η ξινίλα του αίματος με ξυπνά
Δεν έχεις χρόνο για ύπνο
Βρυχιέται 

Περιστέρια σκορπούν παραφωνότας,
ο κόσμος από κάτω αναφωνεί
 ΩΩΩ! ΩΩΩ!
τελειωμένο πυροτέχνημα
τσαγιέρα σφυρίζει.

Wakes in the light
Unwashed she gives herself to sun
Swings to the silver-gold leaf that slides by

The moment she stands
his eyes inflamed lightening
  a glow, heavy like bitter lie

He crinkles my throat
I lean to faint
 hoping for mercy out of pity
to wake in blood’s sourness
"No time for sleep"
he roars

Pigeons spread mad
The crowd exclaims
Oooh! Oooh!
 finishing firework
 kettle whistle.
